Fatal accident at IP flyover

A 19-year-old man was killed and another person injured after their motorcycle was allegedly hit by a truck at the IP flyover in central Delhi on Sunday morning, police said. The deceased was identified as Aman, a resident of Madanpur Khadar. His pillion rider, Alber, 22, a resident of Batla House in Jamia Nagar, was injured and is reported to be stable.

According to the police, Aman was riding a black motorcycle towards Sarai Kale Khan when the collision occurred. The truck involved in the accident fled the spot after the collision, police said. A case has been registered and efforts are underway to identify the vehicle and trace its driver.

A PCR call about the accident was received at the IP Estate police station on Sunday morning. Reports differ slightly on the exact time: some reports say it was around 6.20 am, while others place it at 6.21 am, with the call being transferred from the Civil Lines police station. Police personnel reached the spot after receiving the information, and a crime team was called to collect evidence.

Aman and Alber were taken to the Trauma Centre. Some reports state that Aman died at the spot, while others say he was declared dead at the hospital. Alber is undergoing treatment and his condition is stated to be stable.
