Manchester City dominated the day's activity. The club agreed a £65m fee with Everton for Iliman Ndiaye, who was expected to undergo his medical on deadline day. The move completes a remarkable rise for the Senegalese forward. As part of the same deal, Jack Grealish moved from City to Everton on loan, returning to the club where he spent last season.
Major Moves Confirmed
Several other significant transfers were confirmed. Zian Flemming joined Ipswich from Burnley for £20m, while Southampton's Taylor Harwood-Bellis moved to Aston Villa for £29m. Villa also secured Ibrahim Mbaye from Paris St-Germain for £47m. Arsenal loaned Ethan Nwaneri to Borussia Dortmund, and Gabriel Jesus joined Barcelona on loan. Pape Matar Sarr swapped Tottenham for Juventus on loan with an obligation to buy for £23.6m.
Chelsea's Mykhailo Mudryk joined Tottenham on loan, with the deal reported to include an option to buy. The winger had been suspended after testing positive for a previously banned substance in November 2024. Tosin Adarabioyo also moved from Chelsea to Tottenham in a permanent deal, having made 70 appearances for the Blues.
Late Negotiations and Potential Deals
At the time the window closed, Manchester City's pursuit of Enzo Fernandez from Chelsea had not been confirmed. Talks between the clubs reportedly ramped up over the last 24 hours, but Chelsea's £120m price tag was seen as a potential stumbling block.
Chelsea were also linked with Monaco midfielder Lamine Camara as a potential replacement for Fernandez. Monaco boss Felipe Luis said of Camara: "I hope to keep him. You see the player that he is – unbelievable. Until the end of the transfer window, anything can happen. Everyone hopes that he stays. He is elite."
Arsenal had talks underway to sign Malick Fofana from Lyon, and Everton agreed a £40m deal for Folarin Balogun.
