Pakistan to increase oil purchases from Russia amid crisis in Strait of Hormuz — envoy
Pakistan's ambassador to Russia says Islamabad will increase oil purchases from Moscow as the crisis around the Strait of Hormuz disrupts its traditional energy supplies. In an interview with TASS, Faisal Niaz Tirmizi said Pakistan, which produces only about 10% of its energy needs, is seeking alternative pipelines and closer economic ties with Russia.
